How to kill a process using orakill?
What is thread id ?

It's working fine.

orakill orcl spid


After the orakill I am getting

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel


But the killed session is available in the V$session for a few seconds say 30 seconds.

Salim,

Really not sure why you got this error but generally we get this error when there is a connection failure.

I tried to replicate your problem but received a different error.

Actullay the error is not a question.

That error shows that the session is killed.
