We have the need to import , quite complicated and detailed data--lots and lots of them--which are now in excel files , into oracle...

i looked into using Toad and I am quite successful in doing it using Toad..however sometimes I get the following error:

Toad error - Continue record missing.

then i close toad, break that excel into smaller file and retry etc..sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnot.

TOAD is a fine tool, but is not allmighty.

Excel file can easily be saved as a CSV file. Having it, use SQL*Loader and such problems will be gone.
