Hi all,

can anyone briefly explain two different ways in which restricted access can be provided in Oracle?

Well, I only know of one that doesn't incorporate the application suite (iAS):

Restrict Access to Tables/Views:
 1. Through privelage grants on the table/view

Restrict Access in the Application:
 1. Through Fine Grain Access Control
 2. Dynamic view population (this is my own method, DO NOT GIVE THIS AS AN ANSWER IN AN INTERVIEW!! I cannot stress that enough)
 3. Through responsibility/user definitions
