HI.
It is very urgent.
I need a Oracle 8.1.6 client for a Solaris 8 and I cann't find it anywhere. Can anybody tell me where can I get it?. Where can I find documentation about install it?.
We need it because we have to connect form a machine to a Oracle 8.1.6 Database that is in one machine.
Is possible to connect to a Oracle 8.1.6 Database with an Oracle client version 9i?. If so, where can I find documentation about install it?.

Hi,
You can use Net8 to connect to an Oracle9 DB and Net9 to connect to an Oracle8 DB (Net8 and 9 are backwards and forward compatible).
Do a client install from the server CD. The required documentation is on these very same CDs.
