Oracle Developer installation problem [message #100433]

I have installed Oracle Database 8.0.5 in a Win2000 platform.It seem it works well.I try to install Developer but I can;t.As it starts installing files from the CD,the procedure interrupts,the window with the progress bar closes and it return me to the desktop.Can anybody explain me why this happens????

Hi, y dont u check u r CD once.. May be it was corrupt..
and by the way is it displaying any specific error messages ..Check the Installation logs too..

I have first installed Oracle 8i after that i have installed developer 6.0 at windows 2000. when i click on sqlPlus Shortcut i am gettting message that "SP1<lang>.msb". pls send a step for installation

i have the same problem with my w2000 every time i try to install dev2000 ,it doesn't worki don't know why
please if some one can help me just contact me

first you install oracle 8i personal with diffrent home i.e defaulthome then continue this installtion it will ask for adding it to autoexe.bat simply click yes after that install the develoer with the default_home continue the installtion this will install both then make connectivty b/w them.
