I have a problem demanding immediate resolution.

I have Oracle 8.1.7 running on Sun SPARC Solaris, Linux and Windows systems .

The client applications use Pro*C and OCI code to connect to  Oracle in all the above OS platforms. the problem starts when we compile Pro*C applications on Sun SPARC Solaris. we are getting the following error :

PCC-S-02428, Buffer type is incompatible with LOB type

The same code is getting compiled in Linux and Windows Systems without any error.

I want to know whether OCI & Pro*C support is same i.e , the FILES provided as part of Oracle 8.1.7  are same in all the above OS platforms .

thanks in advance,

Krishna Raju
