Hello

I have installed Oracle 9i on Windows 2000 m/c. I am looking for Proc compiler and couldn't find at all? In the Start/Programs/oracle/Application development I donot see the ProC/C++ in the menu??
What did I miss in the installation??

Any inputs much appreciated...

Thanks

Hi Laks,

You need to install the Oracle 9i Client. It's actually a separate installation from the server. Oddly enough, Oracle included development tools with the server install but the Pro*C/C++ precompiler comes packaged with the Client.

When you have the software, if you do a custom installation, look for "Oracle Programmer" or "Oracle Developer" subsection in the installation options and Pro*C is in there.

Regards,
Chris
