Hi There,

For some of you this may be is elementary, not for me, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I cannot evoke EXP or IMP utilities from a command line i.e. SQL*Plus.

The error message I am getting is the following:

SQL> exp scott/tiger tables=emp

SP2-0734: unknown command beginning "exp scott/..." - rest of line ignored.

I found in $ORACLE_HOME/bin exp.exe and imp.exe utilities, so I assume that my environment is not set up correctly.

I am on Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0 under Win XP operating system.

Thank you fellows,
Viktor

exp and imp are NOT SUPPOSED to be called from sqlplus.
call it from OS.ie. command prompt or dos shell
