Hi Experts,
Application users did a test on datbase on 08/15.
Now the want me to generate awrsqrpt report for a certain query.
But i dont have sql_id and they dont have the query either.
In this scenerio what data should i ask them so that i could get sql_id
from v$sql or by combining v$session and v$sql.

Thanks,
Varun

On high level, an application user told you regarding poor performance of a screen/functionality. So, you could still dig in the DB objects responsible for the business logic of it. Once you get to know the DB object, you could make use of it to see the recent entries in the dynamic views.

Exactly Michal,
This is what i try to explain appication users.
I told them to replicate the issue. So once they run
the search functionality again, could you tell me what
can i ask for see the sql_id for their functionality.

Thanks,

Varun

If there's a particular process that's running slow then generally the best starting point is to trace the session.
