check out your TNS names entry
ORACLE_HOME/Network/Admin/tnsnames.ora

contact you admin and get the details and paste in that file.
Then it should work.

Thanks for your reply,

but i still stunk Confused

Enter into database from Oracle SQL*Plus with following data is OK.
username testname
password testpwd
host string testdatabase

when log on in SI Object Browser with following same data
UserID testname
password testpwd
database name testdatabase

still got that error.
ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified.

also checked to tnsnames.ora it is as follow
#####################
# tnsnames.ora Network Configuration File: d:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\tnsnames.ora
# Generated by Oracle configuration tools.

testdatabase =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = www2)(PORT = 1521))
)
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVICE_NAME = testdatabase)
)
)
####################

is there another ways to solve this ORA-12154 TNS error Sad Sad
Thanks in advance...
