Hi I need information to recommend something to the Client:

Existing Application Environment is:

OS: Windows XP Server as well as Client
Database: Oracle 9i Server on XP
Oracle Client : Oracle 9i

They want to move to Windows 7 in Client

What all they need to upgrade if required...?

Does Oracle 9i Client can be installed on windows 7 client

Does Oracle 10g Client is required in the above mentioned case.

Thanks and Regards.

To add more the Client Machine is 64 bit Intel i5 family. Preloaded Installed OS is 64 Bit Windows 7. Earlier Application was build and rolled out in 32 Bit Machines. Application is not able to installed in Client Machine. What are the Options and which are feasible..?

1. Intslling Windows 7 OS with a 32 Bit Version in the same Client
2. Install Oracle Client for windows 7 64 bit machine

The Server remains in earlier configuration. The connectivity for the application is through ODBC.
