I am trying to install Oracle 11i using the rapid install on AIX 4.3.3 .
In the installation documentation it mentions that youneed 650 MB in the system temp directory /tmp.
Is there a way to instruct the installaer to use another directory then the /tmp. As we do not have that much space in the server and it is quite an issue to add space on that volume.
I tried speaking to Oracle Support, but they have been very arrogant in their response. Apparently despite the support fees..they want to charge consulting fees for even answering any questions (this is ORacle Singapore.)
